The Stevensville Town Council voted to approve three related agreements with the Rural Fire District: a lease and operating agreement, a sublease and an interlocal agreement formalizing shared operations and responsibilities between the town and the district.
Council member Smith moved to accept the lease and operating agreement; subsequent motions approved the sublease and the interlocal agreement. Each motion passed by voice vote with the council recording ayes and the packages were approved 3–0.
Council members said the agreements reflect adjustments suggested at a prior joint meeting with the rural fire district and that the documents address the council’s requested changes. Staff confirmed the agreements will structure future operations and improve coordination between the town and rural fire services.
