Carver County Board elects Tom Workman as chair, Lyndon Lynch as vice chair for 2025

The Carver County Board on Jan. 7, 2025, elected Commissioner Tom Workman to serve as board chair and Commissioner Lyndon Lynch to serve as vice chair for the calendar year 2025.
Nominations opened at the start of the meeting. Jim Ramsey nominated Tom Workman for board chair; no other nominations were offered and the board took a voice vote electing Workman.
For vice chair, nominations were opened and Commissioner Matt Uterman nominated Lisa Anderson. Anderson declined that nomination and instead nominated Commissioner Lyndon Lynch; with no further nominations, the board took a voice vote electing Lynch as vice chair.
Workman and Lynch will serve as the board’s chair and vice chair for 2025. The board recessed briefly after the elections before moving to the rest of the agenda.
Ending: The newly elected chair and vice chair will preside over the board during 2025 and will carry out duties consistent with county board rules and statutory responsibilities.
