Platte County Commission approves cyber insurance, radio maintenance, park contract and multiple stormwater grants

At a 2025 meeting, the Platte County Commission approved a package of county contracts and grants covering cyber insurance, radio-system maintenance, park construction and stormwater projects, and completed several administrative items including an appointment and an ordinance required by state law.

County officials said the $29,954.32 premium for the county’s cyber liability insurance renewal will cover response costs for incidents such as business compromises or hacks. A county presenter asked for the commission’s approval, saying, “This is what covers the county in the event of, like, a business compromise or a hack or, some sort of a cyber attack. The commission also approved a five‑year extension of a Motorola maintenance agreement for the county’s radio system (2025CO075).
