The Coffee County Planning Commission on June 24, 2025, unanimously approved a site plan for a 27,531-square-foot gymnastics facility proposed by Brandon Lemming on roughly nine acres beside Rose Hill Cemetery on Highway 55.
Planning staff described the application, saying Lemming operates a gymnastics business in Tullahoma and is seeking a larger facility at the proposed location. Staff said the design includes detention at the low point near Highway 55 and that the stormwater plan meets the two-year and 200-year storm-event requirements.
On parking, staff said the applicant currently has about 75 students and about 10 employees; staff said they doubled the employee count to 20 for conservative parking calculations. That analysis yielded roughly 85 required spaces, and the applicant is proposing 146 spaces. Commissioners expressed no objections during discussion. A motion to approve the site plan was made and the commission voted unanimously.
Staff characterized the project as a local economic benefit; no public opposition or additional permit conditions were recorded on the meeting record.
