A motion to adopt the ordinance on first reading carried by roll call vote; the clerk was authorized to advertise the ordinance and post notice of a public hearing scheduled for July 23, 2025, at 6 p.m. prior to final adoption.

County staff described the ordinance as funding multiple roadway and bridge projects and asked for the clerk to publish the required notice so affected municipalities and residents can review the ordinance text and attend the July hearing.

The introduction is the first formal step in the local ordinance process; final adoption will depend on the public hearing and any subsequent board action.
