Board approves Brian Bell's three-year contract and names him board secretary; appointments unanimous

Under Tehachapi Unified School District board bylaw 9122, the governing board appoints the superintendent to serve as secretary to the board; the secretary is responsible for maintaining accurate records of board proceedings. Trustee Napier moved the appointment, which passed on a 6-0 roll call vote.
Both votes were recorded by board secretary Deanna Barnes and reflected the board's full support for the incoming superintendent in advance of his July 1 start date.
