Chief Kenzie presented enforcement figures tied to Motorcycle Week and said the department recorded 65 custodial arrests during the event, up from 46 last year; 15 protective custody holds, compared with 16 the previous year; and eight DWI arrests, up from four the prior year. The department also reported 35 motor vehicle crashes during the event period, compared with 19 the year before, and 386 motor vehicle stops (up from 239).
Chief Canfield described Motorcycle Week as “successful,” noting the operational planning and interagency coordination. The department characterized the increased enforcement contact as a result of the event’s size and related public‑safety demands.
