The Memphis City Council on June 24 approved the MLGW fiscal consent agenda (items 16–24), which included extensions and amendments to multiple procurement contracts for Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW).
Madam Comptroller presented the items: a six‑month extension of purchase order No. 32368 to Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Inc. for high‑voltage power circuit breakers (not to exceed $1,000,000); an amendment to purchase order No. 7033750 to ProLect GE Wakoosha Inc. (formerly SPX Transformer Solutions Inc.) for power transformers (not to exceed $8,500,000); and other awards and change orders including network support services (contract 12576) and gas‑modeling software renewal (change No. 7 to contract 12183).
The comptroller also presented emergency ratification for a bore repair contract (contract No. 12269) with Owens Irrigation/ OWS Construction Services of Tennessee for $424,334.95, and purchase orders for vehicles and equipment including half‑ton pickup trucks, compact track loaders, and concrete mixer trucks.
Vice Chair JSW reported the committee recommended approval and moved the consent items. Councilwoman Walker seconded the motion. The council recorded a roll call vote and approved the fiscal items as presented.
