During the meeting finance staff noted the district faces a timing mismatch on property and insurance renewals: the district'paid premium renewal falls in January, leaving some uncertainty about final premium costs. Administrators said the district maintains an excess-reserve fund for employee benefits that provides flexibility to absorb premium increases if necessary.
The contract ratification and related salary adjustments carried on 5-0 voice votes.
