Board approves occupational therapy contract covering roughly 50 students

The Moreland School District Board of Trustees approved the 2025–26 independent contractor agreement with Therapeutic Development to provide occupational therapy services to students with identified needs.
District staff described the contract as an annual agreement that covers required occupational therapy supports. They said the contract has a not-to-exceed cap (amount listed in the agenda) and that the district contracts with two occupational therapists who also serve other districts as needed. Staff estimated about 50 students currently require occupational therapy services within the district.
Board members noted the contract is necessary to meet students’ services and discussed reviewing contracts regularly to determine if cost savings are possible in future years. The board approved the contract by motion and voice vote.
