Wichita County Commissioners Court approved a seven-item consent agenda on June 24 with modifications to two items and a discussion of a third.
The court amended consent agenda item No. 2 to update the Wichita County policy manual (section 4.10.5) by increasing mill allowances from $20 per mil to $25 per mil, effective July 1, 2025. The court also modified consent agenda item No. 7 to authorize payment of Alpha Omega Wireless Incorporated invoice INB4867 in the amount of $2,998 for relocation of the radio tower at the Iowa Park precinct; the court directed the auditor to charge the expense to department 412 with lines to be determined by the county auditor.
During discussion of consent agenda item No. 3, commissioners clarified a new one-time benefit to allow a single prosthetic device purchase per individual when medically necessary and deemed so by a doctor, with a cap of $1,500 per individual. Officials said one case is currently pending for toe inserts for a resident who lost portions of feet due to diabetes.
Commissioner Beauchamp moved approval as amended, Commissioner Pincannon seconded, and the court approved the consent agenda 5-0.
