District curriculum staff described Read180 as the primary reading intervention for grades 4–9 (with configurations for grades 4–5 and 6–9) and Math180 as the primary math intervention for grades 6–8 aimed at algebra readiness. Both programs were presented as supporting a multi‑tiered system of supports (MTSS) that combines adaptive software and teacher‑led instruction.
Miss Riedel told the board the purchase includes digital licenses, student and teacher books, and teacher training totaling $799,989.95, leaving approximately $200,000 in discretionary funds for schools to purchase additional materials from the vendor. The district said Read180 and Math180 are intended to accelerate progress toward grade‑level proficiency by providing personalized and evidence‑based interventions.
Board members did not request changes and approved the agreement unanimously. The district will now proceed with licensing, materials distribution and professional learning for teachers.
