The Scott County Board of Education approved consent-agenda items that included contracts, cooperative membership and several personnel actions.

The board approved an agreement with Protein Food Services Advisors LLC and a 2025–26 cooperative membership agreement with KEDC. It also approved a motion to abolish one districtwide certified EL teacher position and to create two districtwide classified EL aide positions; the board recorded that the net effect was cost-neutral according to staff discussion. The board ratified and approved additional position changes at Scott County High School, including a 1.5 FTE ELA certified teacher position and a classified instructional-aid position. These personnel motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.

Other consent items approved included BG-4 purchases (reported elsewhere on the agenda), a list of surplus items, current bills and the district’s financial statements. Each consent item was approved on the board’s voice vote; the transcript shows ‘‘All in favor? Aye. Those opposed? Motion carries’’ for each item but does not record individual roll-call vote tallies.

Board members noted that some staffing changes were tied to EL-program decisions and to efforts to reallocate existing resources for student needs; staff said the adjustments were structured to be net neutral to the budget in this action.
