The Board of School Directors of Upper Dublin on Monday authorized the administration to move to schematic design for one of the Jarrettown Elementary School options under study, a procedural step the administration said is needed to develop cost estimates, site options and mitigation plans.
Superintendent Dr. Smith told the board the sketches and images shown so far are conceptual and will be refined: “The designs and things that you’ve seen for Jarrettown to this point are entirely conceptual in nature,” she said, and added schematic design will address where a building might be sited and what the impacts on trees and neighbors could be.
