Board appoints Dr. Daniel Ortiz as principal of Upper Dublin High School

The Upper Dublin School District board of directors approved the appointment of Dr. Daniel Ortiz as principal of Upper Dublin High School during its May legislative meeting.

The board approved the personnel slate that included Ortiz’s appointment after the personnel committee brought six personnel items to the full board for a vote. Dr. Smith, the district superintendent, introduced Ortiz’s nomination, saying, "You will see on the personnel agenda tonight the recommendation from our administrative team to appoint Doctor. Daniel Ortiz as the next principal of Upper Dublin High School." The personnel motion to approve the slate carried on a voice vote with no recorded oppositions.

He identified personal ties to the district and praised the high school's staff and students.
