The proclamation, read by a county official, described Durrell as a native of the county, a 2021 graduate of Jones High School and a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor of science in sports media. It noted her leadership as president of the Association for Women in Sports Media, work with the Oklahoma Sports Network and Oklahoma City Comets, and that she was crowned Miss Oklahoma on June 7, 2025. "I'm doing well. Alright. Thank you for having me here today. I'm so thankful to not only be here today, but this past year, I actually was crowned in Oklahoma County," Durrell said at the meeting.
The board moved and seconded the proclamation; commissioners approved it by voice vote and invited Durrell for photographs.
