Assessor's office renews Nearmap aerial imagery contract for countywide access

Oklahoma County commissioners on June 24 approved a standard renewal contract with Nearmap for aerial imagery services, the county's assessor's office said.
Mike Morrison, an assessor's office representative, told the board the contract provides two complete flights for the county; one of those flights includes oblique photographs from multiple angles. "It also we use it for a change detection, which is a very important component of our piece," Morrison said, adding the service gives county staff online access to high‑resolution imagery.
The assessor's office said the imagery is available to all county staff who need to view aerial data and that the product supports mapping, parcel review and disaster documentation. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the contract renewal by voice vote.
