Azusa Unified board extends superintendent and cabinet contracts through 2029

Board members who spoke during the item expressed appreciation for the cabinet's leadership through reorganization and the pandemic. One board member summarized that the action was intended to both acknowledge current work and provide continuity.
All four contract amendments were approved by the board by recorded vote: 3 yes, 2 absent. The motions extended the contract terms for the named cabinet members so that each contract now ends June 30, 2029. No other contract terms were changed and the board did not discuss salary amounts at the public meeting beyond the required summary notice.
The board recorded the action as formal amendments to employment agreements; staff will proceed with ministerial updates to contract records.
