Fire case against Normandy Holdings continues; fines accruing for delayed electrical permit

The special magistrate found Normandy Holdings LLC noncompliant with a prior order to correct a fire-alarm communicator installation at 2310 N. Normandy Blvd. and ordered the continuing fines set in an earlier order to remain in effect until the electrical permit and final inspection are complete.
Inspector Samuel Schaller testified the communicator originally had a permit, but subsequent electrical work feeding the communicator was completed without the required electrical permit and final inspection. The property was previously given 90 days to comply; the owner did not complete the required electrical permit work in that time and a $50-per-day fine began accruing on May 28, 2025. The inspector reported the accumulated fine was $1,450 at the time of the hearing.
Hector Lopez of the contracted vendor Dynafire said the electrical permit application was resubmitted and placed on review on the morning before the hearing; the contractor had addressed previously identified paperwork omissions. The magistrate found the respondent had failed to comply by the earlier deadline and ordered the fine to continue until code compliance verifies correction.
The order requires the property owner to notify the code inspector and to complete the electrical permit, inspections and any final testing required by fire-safety staff. The magistrate admitted the case file and photographic exhibits into evidence.
