The Revere Local Board of Education on June 24 approved a package of personnel actions including retirements, new hires, position changes and supplemental contracts as part of a consent agenda.
Superintendent White recommended acceptance of retirements submitted for the purpose of retirement from two long-serving administrators; the board moved, seconded and approved the recommendation. The board then approved multiple hires and position changes included in the consent agenda: changes in assignment, extended hours for staff, co-curricular and athletic supplemental contracts for the 2025–26 school year and several resignations.
Why it matters: the votes finalize staffing and assignment changes that will take effect ahead of the 2025–26 school year. The board approved an assistant-principal appointment for the middle school and a number of certified and noncertified personnel actions that the district said are intended to fill vacancies and expand services.
Details: action items bundled into the consent agenda included leave of absence approval, position changes (for example an eighth-grade mathematics assignment), new hires, additional hours for staff working on kindergarten early insurance appeals, co‑curricular non‑athletic and athletic supplemental contracts, and an administrative promotion for Ryan Warner from intervention specialist to assistant principal at Revere Middle School. The board also approved extended time for an athletic-department secretary, the summer 2025 paint crew and other routine personnel items.
Student-services and vendor contracts: the board approved a slate of contracts for student placements and specialized services. Those agreements included contracts with Kidzlink School District(s) for student placements, PSI Associates for nursing services, Community Family Centered Services for deaf services, music therapy providers, BCBA behavior specialist services, Summit County ESC for student placement, extended‑school‑year vision and speech services, Thrive Early Learning Center and Applewood Centers for placements, and translation support agreements.
Procedure: most of these items were approved as grouped consent (motions made and seconded); roll-call votes were recorded by the board clerk. No substantial debate on individual personnel items was recorded during the June 24 meeting.
