The Butte-Silver Bow County Judiciary Committee on June 25 held two separate boundary-change items in abeyance: a resolution to alter the Solid Waste Special District to include Homestake Meadows 2 and a resolution to alter the county fire services district to include the 3 MCT district.
Chair Michelle Shea said the solid waste resolution will be held pending a public hearing scheduled by staff for July 9. Director Osborne reported the fire services boundary item will be paused because staff were informed they would not meet the tax-roll deadline for inclusion on the 2025 tax rolls, and more time is needed to answer outstanding questions before proceeding.
Both motions to hold the respective resolutions in abeyance passed by voice vote. No boundary changes were adopted at the June 25 meeting; the items will return to the committee after the scheduled public hearing and additional staff review.
