The Lewis County Board of Commissioners on June 24 approved an amendment to the county's agreement with the City of Centralia to extend the Alban Alder Street project's timeline so the city can receive additional reimbursements covered in the original grant.
Bridal Lester, clerk of the board, said the amendment simply extends the timeline so Centralia can receive reimbursements already covered under the original grant. "The city is looking to extend the timeline for that project to receive additional reimbursements already covered in the original grant. So this just extends the timeline," Lester said.
The amendment (resolution 25-172) was approved by the board as part of deliberation items 25-168 through 25-175 by voice vote, 2-0.
Why it matters: extending the project timeline allows reimbursement requests already included in the initial grant award to be processed within the extended schedule.
