The Terrell City Council on June 24 approved a five-year plan to maintain the city’s Housing Choice Voucher program and an accompanying update to the program’s administrative plan to align local policy with recent U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rule changes.
The plan, presented by Denish Simon, Director of Housing, lays out goals and objectives the agency must meet to remain in compliance with HUD and covers the fiscal period beginning in 2025. The council approved Resolution No. 2238 (five-year plan) and Resolution No. 2239 (administrative plan) on motions and seconding recorded during the meeting.
