Residents tell Anacortes council street parking is strained as denser housing arrives

She asked that parking design standards and property-management practices encourage use of garages for vehicle storage, and asked the council for status information on related planning work.
Mayor Miller and staff acknowledged the concern but did not offer new code changes during the meeting. Gardner did not present a specific ordinance or study; her remarks were a public comment request for the council and staff to consider parking impacts when approving projects.
