Ray outlined the membership cost and local match plan: the network membership totals $2,500 annually; she said she would request $1,000 from the city, asked the county for $1,000, and was personally committing $500. That combination would allow the organization to pursue the $40,000 grant, which Ray described as a 40‑to‑1 return on the requested county investment.
Commissioners thanked Ray and asked whether there were any questions; no vote or formal county commitment was made at the meeting.
Ray offered to provide additional details and documentation to the commission to support the request.
