NextEra correspondence noted; county seeks more community engagement on transmission project

The county administrator said she relayed displeasure that NextEra did not meet in person and that the company pointed the county to a website in its written response.
Commissioners discussed local information‑gathering efforts. One commissioner said they planned to attend an information session hosted by Beth Bosio at a Tree Farm near Fairchance to learn more about the transmission line and hear multiple perspectives. The commissioner said the county has heard both complaints and support from residents and hopes gatherings will provide additional information to guide county engagement.
No formal action was taken; commissioners encouraged continued community outreach and said staff would share information from local events and correspondence.
