Monongalia County Commission approves several personnel hires including part-time assistant prosecuting attorney

The Monongalia County Commission on June 25 approved multiple personnel actions presented by county staff.
The prosecuting attorney requested approval to hire Bader Gegenbach as a part-time assistant prosecuting attorney to handle county civil work. The commission approved the hire; county staff stated he will work no more than 19 hours per week in a part-time capacity without benefits.
The commission also approved two youth services relief workers: Jamie Torres, starting July 1 at $16.40 per hour, and Candace Mullins, starting July 2 at $14.40 per hour. The hires were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Andrew Bell was approved as a full-time, benefit-eligible litter control officer beginning July 1 with an annual salary set at $43,000. The commission voted to approve the personnel items as presented.
No amendments to the hires were proposed during the meeting; the items were approved by unanimous voice vote.
