Pedro Bridge to close July 7; Falcon Way safety work underway, town says

Town staff told the Bow Town board that two local road projects are either underway or about to start: safety improvements and a turning lane on Falcon Way, and the Pedro Bridge replacement project, which the town advised will require a multi‑month closure.
"The Falcon Way project ... the project's all laid out and they've begun their work on the project. ... it's the addition of a turning lane on Falcon Way and safety improvements," the town manager said. The manager reported that the work zone is active and staff are preparing public communications, including a detour graphic to share with the public.
On the Pedro Bridge project, staff said the bridge will be closed beginning Monday, July 7, and will remain closed through October 24, though the contractor told staff the schedule could finish sooner if work proceeds successfully. "The bridge will be closed to traffic beginning on Monday, July 7, and will remain closed through October 24. And no promises, but they they say it may be sooner than that as long as they're, you know, successful with the project schedule," the town manager said.
Board members asked the town to publish frequent social‑media updates and to produce a clear detour graphic for residents and motorists. "Can we make sure that we keep blasting out this ... On social media? ... If we could do, like, a weekly thing on social media until the project is complete," one board member said. Staff said Public Works will develop a shareable detour graphic and post regular updates.
No change orders, cost figures, or contractor names were announced at the meeting; staff said they would distribute the detour graphic and additional scheduling details as they become available.
