Deltona posts lineup of public meetings and community events for June 22–28

The City of Deltona announced events for the week of June 22–28, including a city commission budget workshop at 5:30 p.m. Monday in City Hall Chambers and a special magistrate hearing at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The weekly roundup said the budget workshop will be held at City Hall and that residents may watch the events on Facebook Live or Deltona TV. The announcement also highlighted a community shred day set for Saturday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at City Hall; participants may bring up to five boxes or paper bags of documents and may also drop off old license plates and medications (the notice said no plastic bags).
Library programs were listed for the week at the Deltona Library. Each weekday from 1 to 2 p.m. the library offers a free sit-down lunch for anyone 18 and younger. The Tuesday program at 2:30 p.m. is billed as Imagine and Explore: Which Way Do We Go?, a hands-on session about maps and navigation for children. Wednesday at 3 p.m. is Grama tastic, described as a strategy-focused educational games session for kids; Thursday at 10 a.m. is Maker Hour, a do-it-yourself spa session teaching how to craft oatmeal soap (spaces may be limited and a wait list is available). On Friday at 1 p.m. the library will offer Sit and Be Fit, a gentle chair-based exercise class.
The Lioneia Environmental Center’s weekend offerings were also listed: a photography-club hike at 7 a.m. Saturday that is open to all ages and camera types, and a 10 a.m. Saturday program on products of the hive (honey, beeswax and harvesting) that the announcement said is appropriate for ages 10 and up.
The roundup closed by reminding listeners that the schedule ranged “from honeybees to healing crafts and from budget workshops to backyard hikes” and advising viewers to watch Deltona TV or the city’s Facebook Live feed for coverage of the municipal meetings.
