The updated rules will include a simple checklist of items a plan should contain before the board endorses an ANR, board members said. The group also noted one technical change: the statutory turnaround for certain notices has changed from 14 days to 21 days, and the regulations will be revised to match that timetable.
Planning board members emphasized an iterative approach: compile incoming items, formalize a review process and post a draft of rule changes for public review before any vote. Several members thanked Alan for taking the lead and asked staff to coordinate with DPW and zoning before the board holds any formal public hearing.
