Jenny Smith, project manager, said the collaboration will immerse two commissioned artists in the community to record oral histories, create visual and musical works drawn from residents’ stories, and stage a public presentation. Smith said the project seeks the mayor and commission’s “blessing and your partnership” and requested use of city spaces, not direct city funding.
Mayor Taylor and other commissioners asked to meet one‑on‑one with the project team to learn more. Smith said the organizers would coordinate scheduling through the city clerk’s office and welcomed meetings with commissioners.
