The Speedway Town Council on June 23 approved claims totaling $2,134,702.67 for the period June 5–18 and authorized three utility adjustments covering June 5–19.
Clerk-Treasurer Philip Faust told the council the packet spans 14 pages and noted that a visible component of the claims was payments for summer parks program employees working in camps coordinated with the schools. "They're on 14 pages, and they total $2,134,702.67," Faust said. "Things that are out of the ordinary on here would include payments for a lot of our summer parks employees."
A councilor moved to approve the claims and adjustments; the motion was seconded and passed 4-0. No additional discussion was recorded.
Staff recorded the claims and adjustments and will process payment per the authorization.
