Mayor Sullivan presented both nominations. The Airport Authority appointment fills the unexpired term of Mitch Scrimetta and will run through March 31, 2031, according to the council record. The Personnel Board appointment for Sandifer was presented with a five‑year term ending December 2030.
Councilors supported both appointments on the record and the motions passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition. Council members praised Holyfield’s local business experience and Sandifer was present earlier during the work session, the mayor noted.
The council recorded no additional conditions for either appointment in the public session.
