Grays Harbor PFD seeks Ocean Shores business member to fill board vacancy

At its June 24 meeting the Grays Harbor Public Facilities District board discussed a vacant business-member seat and assigned staff to follow up on recruitment and eligibility.
Sarah (staff member) said the seat reestablished by Commissioner Raines for Council member Rich Hartman is filled, but "we still lack a member or a business member in the community, which is what we didn't have in 2023 either." She said she would "double back" with Angela Fulkers, who had been working with Commissioner Raines on that position.
When asked whether the business member must live in Ocean Shores, Sarah said, "I believe they just have to have the business in Ocean Shores, but I can't say that with a 100% confidence. I will find out, though." Board members offered to assist with recruitment if staff needs help.
No vote was taken. The conversation closed with staff committed to confirm the residency or business-location requirement and to report back to the board.
