Alder Aldo Henke moved to accept the proposal and to direct staff to move forward with a contract; Alder Tierney seconded the motion. "I move we accept the proposal from Bridge Street Mission and, direct staff to move forward with a contract with a lot of the items that we've discussed here in open session, and hopefully have it ready for us by the next finance meeting, which is July 8," Henke said.
All those present responded "aye." The motion passed with one dissenting vote: Alder Gisselman voted "no." The committee chair then adjourned the session.
The vote authorizes staff to draft the contract; the motion did not itself finalize contract terms. The committee instructed staff to include the items discussed in open session in the contract and to return a draft for the July 8 finance meeting for further review or action.
