Public comments included a call to ensure long-term case management so that repairs are not repeated; staff confirmed the city will coordinate with the homeowner’s power of attorney and relevant departments to proceed with repairs and to monitor code compliance and long-term property maintenance.
The grant authorization directs the interim city manager to issue funds and manage repairs for the property; council members emphasized the work was intended to secure the resident’s safety during hurricane season.
