The Metuchen extracurricular committee and the board—s curriculum item on June 24 covered club formation and a proposed February ski trip for high-school students.
Committee member Miss Killeen said the committee reviewed a proposal for an Edgar Literary Magazine Club and was "very supportive." The committee also reviewed spring-season athletic reports and discussed changes in club participation as grade realignment places older students at Moss; committee members said club and activity offerings will be reviewed for the 2026-27 budget and scheduling.
On the consent agenda, the board approved curriculum items D1 through D3, which included a requested February ski trip organized through the outdoor education program. Board discussion estimated the trip would carry "40 or 50 students" and identified experienced chaperones and advisors; the trip would visit Killington and run over a weekend. The motion to approve the curriculum items passed by roll call.
The extracurricular and curriculum items were presented as committee recommendations and consent-agenda approvals; no separate contentious debate or additional votes were recorded.
