The Marshall City Council affirmed appointments to two advisory bodies, approving Jake Knutson for a term on the Airport Commission and reappointing Larry Dume to a second term on the Planning Commission; both terms were listed to expire May 31, 2028.
The mayor recommended the appointments following a special session earlier in the evening in which council members interviewed applicants. “Based on the applications and those interviews, I would recommend that Jake Knutson be appointed to a term on the airport commission that will expire 05/31/2028 and that Larry Dume be appointed to a second term on the planning commission,” the mayor said. The council moved, seconded and affirmed the recommended appointments and the motions passed according to the meeting record.
No abstentions or individual dissent were recorded in the meeting transcript. The council’s packet included applicants’ materials and the scheduled term expiration dates. The appointments will be reflected in commission rosters and the city will proceed with standard onboarding for the newly affirmed members.
