Brentwood board creates coordinator roles for CTE and counseling, approves personnel reports

The board approved a resolution creating the coordinator of CTE position effective June 12, 2025; the role was described as an 11-month, full-time position accreted to the Brentwood principals and supervisors organization (BIBSO) and designated to report to the assistant superintendent of secondary education and the high school principal. The board also approved an assistant coordinator of school counseling and guidance services position effective June 12, 2025 as a 10.5-month, full-time post, accreted to BIBSO, to report to the coordinator of school counseling and guidance services.
Both motions were moved and seconded during the meeting and carried with the board recording "Aye" votes and one absence noted. The board packet specified that salaries will be set according to the negotiated agreement between the Brentwood Union Free School District and the Brentwood Principals and Supervisors Organization (BIBSO), and that the table of organization will be amended to reflect the new positions.
At the same meeting the board approved certificated and non-certificated personnel action reports for the 2025–26 cycle by voice vote. The approvals were presented "upon the recommendation of the superintendent of schools," and the board recorded the customary "Aye" with one absence noted.
The board did not identify specific hires in open session for the newly created roles; the resolutions authorized the positions and the administrative reporting lines and remuneration approach under the existing negotiated agreement.
