Council extends school resource officer memorandum with Mayfield City Schools

Law Director Schmidlin introduced Resolution 2025-33, authorizing the mayor to enter the MOU with the school district and declaring an emergency. Council suspended the rules and moved to approve the resolution during the same meeting. The measure passed on a roll call vote; Councilmember Snyder registered an abstention.
The resolution continues the city’s participation in the SRO program under terms included in the memorandum attached to the legislation. Council did not debate the MOU at length on the floor; no additional changes to the agreement were read into the record during the vote.
