The Hueneme Elementary School District governing board approved the district's adopted budget for 2025'26, with staff reporting no changes to the plan since the board saw it at the June 9 meeting.
Miss Marshall told the board the state legislature had passed a budget but it had not yet been signed by the governor; staff recommended the governing board approve the adopted budget pending final state action. "The proposed adopted budget is unchanged from the last board meeting held on June 9, and the budget has been passed by the legislature, but it has not been signed by Governor Newsom yet," Miss Marshall said.
A motion to adopt the district budget passed by roll call. Board members noted the administration's work preparing the budget and approved the adoption as recommended.
Staff did not provide detailed dollar totals in the public presentation; the board approved the budget as the adopted document for the coming fiscal year pending final statewide budget signature.
