Trustee Stacy moved June 23 to approve proposed text amendments that add solar- and wind-energy provisions to the village zoning ordinance; planning and zoning recommended the changes unanimously and the board approved the motion to send the ordinance to a future meeting for formal adoption.
Trustee Stacy said the primary change was adding solar and wind energy where they had been omitted during prior drafting. An administrator told trustees the changes corrected checklist tables (use boxes) and added definitions so the solar and wind provisions appear in the ordinance text.
Stacy said the approval on June 23 was to accept the text amendments and that the formal approval ordinance would be considered at the next meeting.
There was no recorded dissent; the roll call on the motion recorded unanimous approval to move the amendments forward.
