Trustees approve final 2024–25 budget amendment, fund-balance commitments and routine bid consent items

The NORTH EAST ISD Board of Trustees approved a final budget amendment for fiscal 2024–25, adopted a resolution committing certain fund balances as of June 30, 2025, and approved routine bid items and consent agenda items during the June 19 meeting; each action passed by unanimous vote.
Mister Villarreal presented the final budget amendment for 2024–25, saying the proposal had been provided in trustees’ packets. A motion to approve the final budget amendment was made and approved 7–0. Later the board considered a resolution committing certain fund balances for campus activity funds as of June 30, 2025; trustees asked clarifying questions about how campus activity funds are treated and were told donations and fundraiser proceeds remain at the campus. The resolution committing those fund balances was moved, seconded and approved 7–0.
The board also approved consent business services bid items and other consent agenda items as presented; the consent agenda passed unanimously. Trustees had no additional public questions on the bid items during the meeting.
Each motion was approved by roll call as stated on the meeting record: final budget amendment (7–0), fund-balance commitments resolution (7–0) and consent items (7–0).
