A US Water representative presented the City of Glendale’s monthly water and sewer operations report for the period April 22 through May 26 during the June 23 council meeting.
Shuler, speaking for US Water, said the wastewater treatment plant treated about 12,700,000 gallons during the reporting period and that total drinking water produced was about 12,700,000 gallons. He also reported that the operation was under budget for May by $15,985.63.
Shuler told the council that routine operations and maintenance are continuing and that the company expects to flush hydrants in August as part of normal O&M. When a councilmember asked about the utility fiscal year, Shuler said the fiscal year ends in December under the current contract, while the council’s agreement year for the utility is July to June.
No formal action was taken on the report; council members had brief questions and thanked the presenter before moving on to other items.
