Chilton County commissioners voted June 24 to send a letter to a developer and the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) regarding proposed access for a planned Dollar General store.
Commissioner Perkins moved to approve the letter to the developer and ALDOT; Commissioner Bohn seconded. Commissioners said the proposed site touches State Route 453 and State Route 145 and that they prefer access to be taken from 145 rather than a county road. The property was described as just outside the city limits. Commissioners said an updated letter with current dates was requested; the motion passed unanimously.
The county did not authorize engineering work or a permit in the meeting record; the action was limited to sending a letter expressing the county’s access preference to the developer and ALDOT.
