Library staff told the commission that fall programming is nearly full and offered two available dates, Nov. 18 and Nov. 25; commissioners favored Nov. 18 because it precedes the holiday travel period. The commission discussed a 6–8 p.m. window for the event to allow setup, a speaker segment around 7 p.m. for participants arriving after work, and advertising through the Stow City website and library programming lists. Commission members said they would provide a promotional photo and agreed to let library staff add the event to the library and city calendars.
Commissioners discussed potential speaker roles: one commissioner offered to present on dyslexia from a professional perspective, and Jason agreed to speak about his personal experiences. The commission agreed to book the room in advance and to plan a second session in early January or six months later if attendance warrants recurring programming.
The commission also noted bookmarks and other printed materials for outreach: a donor associated with Labels and Letters contributed 500 bookmarks for distribution. The library will assist with promotion and will host printed surveys and drop‑off materials as part of outreach for both the town hall and the parks survey.
