Home care workers urge board to secure new contract after months without agreement

The CEO’s supplemental materials for closed session included a conference with labor negotiators (item CS‑2) but the public report after closed session stated there was no reportable action taken.
What’s next: The union and county labor negotiators remain the parties to the negotiations. Providers asked supervisors to intercede and urged the board to press for a timely settlement to protect care quality and caregiver livelihoods.
