The Raymore City Council unanimously approved an ordinance awarding the city's holiday display installation, maintenance and storage contract to HolidayFX LLC after a competitive request‑for‑proposals process.
Mr. Murdoch presented the staff report for Bill 39‑77, explaining the contract covers lights around City Hall, CenterView, the mayor's Christmas tree and other city facilities. Staff said HolidayFX, the incumbent vendor, was the lowest and best bidder and recommended the award. The contract includes the option to renew for two additional years after the initial year.
Council members noted the proposal materials clearly showed the scope of the work and the locations for lighting installations; Council member Burke thanked HolidayFX representative Darren Moon, who was present in the audience.
The ordinance passed unanimously on first reading and the city will proceed with the contract award and planned installations in time for the coming holiday season.
