"They don't know the load they're gonna need," a committee member said, citing uncertainty about whether parts of the campus will use all-electric systems or natural gas. Staff asked Project Prometheus representatives for updates and timeline commitments so utilities can order materials and schedule work; staff said some vendors cannot proceed until those load figures are confirmed.
Commission members said housing inventory in Greene County is constrained and that prices and quality are mismatched for local needs; the county is trying to identify lower-cost infrastructure locations to make housing development more feasible. First Group Engineering has completed preparatory work but is waiting for utility responses before final engineering can proceed, staff said.
