Plainfield 202 site and finance committee shifts FY26 public hearing to August; board accepts several donations

The Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 site and finance committee reported June 23 that the public hearing on the fiscal year 2026 budget will be held in August. The committee summary was given as part of the board’s site and finance update.
During the same report, the board thanked community donors and accepted donations from Meadowview PTO, the Asian Culture Association, boosters from Plainfield North, the League of Illinois Bicyclists and Wilco. The board recorded appreciation for those contributions during the meeting.
A board member providing the intergovernmental update also summarized recent action by the Will County (Wilco) Board of Control, noting it approved a $50 tuition increase and that the district’s payment for Wilco services was stated in the meeting record. The speaker reported a district payment figure of $2,652,650 (the meeting transcript lists that number); the board did not add further line-item budget detail in the public remarks.
